National Strategy for Accelerated Poverty Reduction II (Revised) (2009-11)
In line with the objective of reducing poverty within the shortest possible time through attaining higher economic growth, the NSAPR II was approved in 2008. In 2009 it has been revised by the Government and aligned with its overall strategy on poverty reduction, economic growth and efficiency through use of science and technology. The poverty reduction strategy framework of the revised NSAPR II is based on the reality of multidimensionality of poverty and takes into account the dynamics of the socio-economic factors that reinforce and perpetuate poverty in the country.
