National Strategy for Accelerated Poverty Reduction II (Revised) (2009-11)
In line with the objective of reducing poverty within the shortest possible time through attaining higher economic growth, the NSAPR II was approved in 2008. In 2009 it has been revised by the Government and aligned with its overall strategy on poverty reduction, economic growth and efficiency through use of science and technology. The poverty reduction strategy framework of the revised NSAPR II is based on the reality of multidimensionality of poverty and takes into account the dynamics of the socio-economic factors that reinforce and perpetuate poverty in the country. Outline of Perspective Plan (2010-2021)
The Outline of Perspective Plan 2010-2021 fulfils a long felt need of the country. The deepening of globalization, challenges towards reaching the Millennium Development Goals, the threat of global warming, environmental degradation and economic crisis, coupled with rising fundamentalism and terrorism pose new challenges to the world community including Bangladesh. National Agricultural Policy (draft 2010)
Based on an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the agriculture sector in Bangladesh, this policy sets out the necessary steps in order to reach the country's development objectives, including research and development, agricultural extension, fertilization and irrigation, as well as human resource development.
