The National Committee endorses the NFP PoA & CIP Monitoring Report 2014, 1 June 2014.

The 2014 Monitoring Report (MR 2014) of the National Food Policy Plan of Action (NFP PoA) and Country Investment Plan (CIP) has been discussed in a meeting of the National Committee (NC), Chaired by H.E. the Minister of Food, held on 1st June 2014, at the Ministry of Food.
 
The MR 2014 is the result of extensive consultations and reviews among different ministries, international and civil society organizations, research institutions and donor agencies that started in September 2013 with a training on “Strengthening Capacities on Monitoring Food Security Frameworks in Bangladesh (18 - 26 Sep 2013)”. The MR 2014 was produced by four Thematic Teams involving representatives from 17 ministries and divisions coordinated by the Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU) of the Ministry of Food. The Food Policy Working Group (FPWG) first, and later a National Stakeholder Consultation held on the 25 of May provided recommendations for improving the Report.
 
The National Committee endorsed the Report subject to revisions in line with the discussion held.
 
A public launching ceremony of the MR 2014 is scheduled for the 25 of June at the Ruposhi Bangla Hotel.
