The National Food Policy Capacity Strengthening Programme (NFPCSP) was jointly implemented by the Food Planning and Monitoring Unit under the Ministry of Food of the Government of Bangladesh and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It received financial support from the European Union (EU) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The NFPCSP was located at the Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU) in the Ministry of Food.

The Programme'smain focus was to help build Bangladesh’s institutional and human capacities to design, implement, and monitor food security policies (see Activites and Achievements).
