Training Course on Producing Policy Briefs (17 to 21 November 2013)

Policy briefs have proved to be one effective way of stimulating policy dialogue in Bangladesh. These short documents derive main messages and related policy recommendations from existing research products. Specifically, they illustrate in a few words: (i) why policy makers need to tackle an identified problem; (ii) what empirical and analytical evidence exists related to this problem; and (iii) what options are available to effectively address the situation. By using a clear and simple language, policy briefs address a broad non-technical audience which helps maximize outreach.
